What is PLA? PLA is a thermoplastic polymer made with lactic acid from raw materials that have renewable sources. It can be made from vegetables such as corn, cassava, beetroot or sugar cane. Because it comes from organic matter, PLA is biodegradable and, therefore, compostable, recyclable and very resistant. Its use advantageously replaces some resins from non-renewable sources, such as those manufactured from petroleum, as is the case with ABS. Once again, Laser Madeira is investing in ecologically correct, environmentally friendly solutions. |
